The latest two films in the series of 20 we made for Absolute Radio are now on TV.

As ever they star Jordan Prentice as Doug, the uncompromising security guard at the station, and self-appointed guardian of ‘real music’.

This time, in “Carrot Cake”, he’s reviewing his love life with the receptionist in excruciating detail. Eventually he’s saved from an uncomfortable moment by the music he loves wafting through the studio door, teeing him up for his catchphrase “That’s good. That’s real good.”

You can see lots of other films featuring Doug on Absolute’s YouTube channel, and you can read his blog on the Absolute website.

Kellie, one of our digital designers, emails us all links to her favourite digital marketing ’stuff’ of the week every Friday afternoon. Here’s what she rates this week:

Dare – Get a job your parents won’t understand
I thought this was very cute way for Dare to promote their graduate campaign.

Ikea – Embrace Change 09
Customise the oval office for Obama, you can even add a puppy!

Durex – Get It On
Please be warned this advert contains sexual scenes between balloon animals, and is so cute!

Underworld – Rise of the Lycans
An experience website for the new Underworld movie.

What do you get if Martin and Russell spend 18 hours a day for 3 days in a studio with 50 packs of blue Fimo and some cameras? 3 lovely stop-frame animations for Skype that’s what! The charming banners were created to promote keeping in touch with family and friends using Skype over the festive period. Check out how we made it and our favourite banner below. Liz and Aimee would like to thank everyone who lent a hand in making these, the man-hours were definitely worth it.

We’re proud to unveil our Christmas card this year: oneismostamused.co.uk – a website that lets you create your own Queen’s speech and send it to your friends.

Albion's Queens Speech

Many thanks to Mike, Teddy & Jonny who had the idea, designed and wrote it, filmed it, and built the site.

Update: We’ve had some nice coverage in Metro, Brand Republic and CrackBerry.com.

On Thursday evening we won a couple of awards.

Our Skype Nomad campaign won the Technology category in the IMA awards:

And our eBayTV ads with a live web feed (made with ITV) won the Media Innovation category at the Media Week awards.

These both make us happy, because they’re for innovative projects that we worked really hard on. So it’s nice that other people recognise that.

Don’t worry though, we’re not going to let it go to our heads!
