Joining our crew

We’re always on the lookout for really interesting people (yes, even in a credit crunch / herd recession). So please feel free to get in touch if you think you’ve got the kind of thing we’re after. If you want to know what we’re after, then it’s people who are:

  • Digital native.
  • Do-ers, not woolly experimenters.
  • Interesting and interested.
  • Listeners as well as talkers.
  • Self-motivated but also love to work in a team.
  • Entrepreneurial and keen to help shape a growing agency.

How to get in touch

The best way is to get someone we already know to recommend you.

The second best way is to send us a link to your website, blog or social media profile. Please don’t send us massive attachments. They clog up our inboxes and just get deleted.

Email your links to hello@albionlondon.com.

Planners who aren’t planners

We’re looking for a couple of people to join our team as planners / strategists / thinkers.

But we don’t want to just hear from people who are currently planners or strategists in marketing / advertising. We see lots of people like that, and while they are all very good, they don’t always bring us the lateral thinking, commitment and energy of a person who are currently outside the agency world.

At Albion we enjoy putting together people from diverse backgrounds to see what they can create. And what we prize above all is people who ‘get it’: who are passionate about using their business experience and creativity to help our clients maximise their business opportunities. And who have the Albion attitude - by which we mean digital native, energetic, ambitious but low-ego, turned on by doing, and with something to prove. Maybe you’re currently working in product design, architecture, economics, or in a call centre. Wherever - as long as you can show us why your experience will be interesting and useful to us.

If you think this might be you, then please email us with 1) your CV, 2) links to your online presence (blog, Flickr, LinkedIn etc), and 3) an answer to the following question in less than 140 words:

How could your experience help us to help Skype grow from 400m to 800m users?

Please don’t send us your CV if you don’t meet these criteria ‘just in case’. Posting jobs opportunities on here seems to generate a lot of responses at the moment – more than we can reject politely.

Please note this supersedes the planning job descriptions that were here previously.

Special expeditions

One of our clients is also on the lookout for some new recruits. MyHeritage, who we work with right here in the Tea Building are very interested in meeting people who think they’d be right for:

  • Part-Time Community Manager, Canada – MyHeritage
A Canadian market guru who can look after public relations, community outreach and generally creating, planning and realising scarily good marketing activities. Download more information [PDF]

We thought we’d let you know about these jobs on our site because if you like us, we know you’ll like these guys too. Contact Mario at MyHeritage directly about these jobs.
